About TAG art gallery

TAG art gallery got its start in June of 2000 with the mission of showing unique artworks by local, national and international artists to Nashville, best known as “Music City.” Nashville is full of creative people, some of which are art buyers, most of which would love to own some original art but don't have the pocketbook for it. The gallery quickly found its niche offering affordable art to emerging collectors.

Since its inception, TAG has grown and shifted in many ways.  Now in business for over eight years, the gallery has called several locations home but now operates without a permanent homebase with plans to exhibt work in a variety of locations. It continues to represent an eclectic mix of artists working in contemporary painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture. TAG has also branched out to other cities by exhibiting in art fairs around the country like Art Chicago and The Affordable Art Fair in NYC.

TAG's owner and gallery director, Jerry Dale McFadden, got into the art business through collecting himself. A successful musician and member of such acts as The Mavericks and Sixpence None The Richer, McFadden was lucky enough to travel the world and see some wonderful art along the way. After years of collecting, he decided to come off the road and open a gallery to show Nashville some of the amazing art he had discovered on his travels.
